Hi,

I am installing H&R Springs (-20mm).

I have a 09 P30 (Hard Suspension) with OEM 19". Also running 265 Michelin PSS on the rear.

Which spacers would be best for me? And what lug nuts would I need.

Thanks.

Hard to know what width spacers you will need.

I've have experience with spacers and it's a case of guess what spacers you will need as accurately as you can and then go from there.
It may be that you find you will need slightly wider spacers, or slightly thinner.

Tyres can influence which width spacers you need because the shoulders can vary by quite a lot from one tyre to the next.

Either way, you need to make sure the spacers are hubcentric so that they sit snuggly on your rear hubs.

Regarding bolts, you'll need to get bolts that factor in the additional length they will need to travel before screwing into the hub.
Generally speaking, if you get 10mm spacers, you'll need to get bolts that are 10mm longer.

Ideally, each bolt should complete around 7 complete turns before tightening into the hub.

Also make sure you get bolts with the correct necks (ie, radius or coned).

Take care not put too long wheel bolts (lug nuts) in or they can foul the handbrake mechanism and it does not take much, only a few MM

Indeed.

I always judge by the amount of complete turns on each bolt before being fully tight.

Minimum of 6 complete turns, to ensure you have enough of the bolt in the hub.
Maximum of 8 complete turns, to avoid contacting the brake components.
Might be able to get away with 9 turns, or even 10, but I usually look for a maximum of 8 turns to be safe.
That's how I have learned to judge to anyway.

If I remember correctly, my bolts give me 7 turns before biting.

Alloy Wheels Direct are a very helpful company.

Afternoon. I've had this done and it's great. H&R springs and H&R 10mm spacers all round with H&R bolts supplied. All sorted by AMD tuning in Essex:-)
