New to the forum and just purchased a new C63s Premium. Diamond White, Black Wheels, Sports Exhaust plus a few more options. Thought I'd share my buying experience. It might help others.

List price on the MB website was £75,500. Went to three new car dealers, 2xStratstone (Nottingham and Derby) and a JCT dealer from Sheffield. All three offered discounts of 5% which felt a bit poor on such a large ticket price so said thanks but no thanks and left it for a couple of weeks.

Went onto the Buyacar website and saw a new car price with same spec from MB Sytner offering £8500 off the list price, more than double the discount. Both Derby and JCT refused to match the deal but Nottingham did and added an additional £500 on top of that if I did the deal that month.

As this was a PCP deal I was also looking at finance. Nottingham offered a ridiculous 11.9% over three years, guess they were trying to recoup some of the discount offered. Found a generic car website PCP calculator and typed in the details with an example discount of 4.9%. Took this to Nottingham and asked them to match it. They offered 4.7%.

There may be better deals out there but I was happy with this one. Just goes to show if you can do some homework and put it in front of the dealer larger discounts are still to be had. I also read that placing the order at the end of the financial quarter also helps - maybe an Internet myth but I placed the order this week for delivery in November.

Payed £66,500 in the end, a saving of £9000 with an APR of 4.7 over three years. Much better than the standard £3500 at 5.9%.

Now depress me and tell me this is actually a pretty ordinary deal :)

The thing to do is put the documents in your drawer, never look at prices and just enjoy the car which is going to be very very nice :thumb:

Comparing to 'deals ' i have done in the last few years , i think you have done ok ,. I run a company and put my staff in Audis . I only use one dealership near me and dal with the girl that runs corporate sales . Admitedly , staff cars are only A4's , A5's , TT's and the like , and i only manage about 9% discount , even when buying 2/3 at a time ! As for the finance , yeah you can do better outside the dealers options .

They must love you, 9% on a A4/TT is poor. Drive the Deal were doing over 20% off TT's a while back. Only the A1 comes with sub 10% discount.

I will be wary come renewal then ... Cheers dude !

I got 23% off both my C250d and A250 AMG. Saved about £18k in total.

Theses were pack cars though, but that only benefits me as the wait was......about 10 days :D

Well said. No price on happiness. That's why I drag my self out of bed at all the ungodly hours. Put a bit aside and treat yourself with the rest.

what wil your monthly payment be

This says so much about the state of Britain and how broken it is

10% is ok but to be honest I would be looking for 15%. M3/4 is circa 18% at moment.
