Hey everyone, I have 2017 c63s running stage2 catless downpipe. After the exits the cold start cycle it runs perfect, once it warms up a little it starts popping from the right (passenger side exhaust) im including the video so you can hear. Once it warms up more it starts popping non stop. When i shift the car into drive it stops. Today i went on a dyno and car only pushes 383HP. Xentry diagnostic throws code for a leak in the air intake system (bank2). Ran smoke test, did all the other tests and there is no leak. Car is not in soft limp mode since i can see the boost bar moving up and down. I heard there were problems with exhaust valves, mufflers are cut off and programmed out, H pipe valve is welded and also programmed out. Doesnt throw any cel or any codes other than that. Can someone please help me out with this because its driving me nuts

Sorry to hear about this problem. Have you heard of Brothers Performance based in Sheerness? Maybe give them a call for a visual inspection and diagnosis, its not too far from London. 👍

Who tuned the car? Have you spoken to whoever put the stage 2 map on there? Was it a custom map?

You might want to post the exact code you're getting with Xentry up too...

Ive done 2 different maps all of them are the same outcome. Still loss of power. Only faults that came up were these.

There are a couple of common issues I’ve seen on bank 2. The short rubber connector that fits between the airbox and the turbo intake has a tee in it for the pcv system. It’s very common for that rubber tube to get lipped inside when refitting the airbox. If that happens it gets slowly shredded and drawn in through the turbo. It manifests itself with sticking intake valves, as the debris ends up down there. The other thing that happens with tuned cars is distortion of the plastic intake manifolds. You can find this with a smoke test, but you’ll need to have the pressure much higher than you would for a normal smoke test because it only forces air out with boost.
