I recently purchased a 2016 c63s w205 and have experienced issues ever since owning it which has been for nearly two weeks.

It is very rough on idle it almost feeling like the engine slaps from left to right and jerks when is does it. I’ve just been looking over the car tonight and a friend noticed the actuators on the turbos open a close when the engine does this jerking motion. Also if I drive the car like a granny it’s fine but if it’s at 1/4 throttle it judders shaking the whole car. But if I use full throttle it’s smooth and fine.

I did find another post on here and their solution was a gear box service for the judder. I have done this and the gear changes are butter smooth now but the judder at 1/4 throttle and rough idle is still the same. I have attached a video below any help would be appreciated.

I'm no expert but the rough running could be one or more coil packs failed or failing? Also, you might have badly worn engine mounts - depending on how many miles the car has done, they could cause the engine to move, although that would be longitudinally rather than laterally.

In terms of transmission and/or drivetrain, you should get the the gearbox oil checked and make sure that you have the correct quantity in there and that its been changed (intervals are every 3 years/30k from memory). I would also suggest getting the diff oil checked at the same time, another item that frequently gets missed on these cars.

So originally I thought sparks and coil packs would be the issue after reading the other post they just happpen to have a gear box service due and it was fixed after that so that where I started. Gear box oil and filter was replaced yesterday and diff oil was also replaced yesterday.

Only issue I have with coil packs being the issue is there is no EML and no codes for any faults on the car expect minor old electrical codes which have all been cleared and not come back since.

The car is only on 59k miles is seems like the car only really has these issues after a long drive or driven more aggressively then I get the lumpy idle but the judder at 1/4 throttle is always present in any driving mode.

So strange thank for your reply!
