Calibrate the light sensor

I remember seeing a post some time ago on how to reset and adjust the sensitivity of the auto light sensor.
I am unable to find the post so I wonder if someone could please tell me.
It's a 2006 C220 CDI.

No there is a sequence of turning things in and off and it resets it all.
I just can't remember it
