Can anyone decode my vin no ?

Just been reading all the posts on the valeo and gearbox nitemare . I have a w209 , 270, 2004, checked my radiator and its a valeo, gulp.
My vin no is 2093162f090821 . If anyone can tell me what that means id be very great full. Im basically trying to see if my car should have it changed ?.

Either I'm ignorant to old(er) VINs or that VIN doesn't look long enough - The following VIN decoders are expecting 17 alphanumeric characters. Did some get dropped maybe?

What's the mileage on the car? My '03 S211 had 135k on when I bought it, and a Valeo rad. I asked the same question, and the view from a couple of the professional forum sponsors, including Black C55 (very well respected) was that if it it had not gone pop by then, it probably wouldn't do so, and just to be aware of any unusual behaviour by the transmission (five-speed 722.600 series, as has yours, and no untoward behaviour so far.). It still has the OE Valeo rad. HTH.

With luck, somebody will soon tell you the symptoms if your rad DID leak into the transmission, so you can make a fully-informed decision.

Hi, yeah I do tend to agree, its just got to 72,000, so quite low for year.
