Can I get this in chrome?

the strip between my door windows and body are all damaged, probably through using agressive cleaners on it. I can get new ones for around £45 each, but I would like to get some that are chrome. does anyone know if they are available for the W210 (99) I have seen them on other models

They are available in "black chrome", as found on the elegance and avantgarde models. I was thinking of replacing the ones on my sport model (boring grey plastic) because if nothing else the black chrome ones are easier to clean!

this one was Black, it must have looked good once, but I think the previous owner polished them with a Brillo pad

What trim spec is your car? The "black chrome" is very shiny black plastic.

its Avantgarde, I can still see some of the Black shiny coating at the edges of the strips (what are they called?)also the strip around the rear window is a little damaged through the last owners Brillo pads
