Does anyone know how i can get the carbon fibre look plastic like inside a C43 for my old style C36? I only need the bit that covers the hazard switch/heater dials and the gear lever bit???

www.foliatec.de

...do a carbon film.

They also do a real carbon application kit, for not much more.

Available at your local Hellfrauds, sorry Halfords, for £24.99

Carnoisseur also stock it.

Depending on your switch layout, you may also be able to order a panel from the stealer for about £40, which may have the wrong button holes, but possibly enough room to cut extra ones for the buttons that you need.

I will have one around the gearlever but the heater part i wont be able to put on as my switches are different, i would be able to change the hazard switch but between the heater dials mine has two more switches(rest and something else) i would do without the extra switches but is it possible to plug the newer one in or will it not work??
By the way im thinking of splitting my seats if you are still interested?

Re: int

your switches are square type?, why dont you just buy some carbon film then as sym suggested?

film

I suppose i will have to try then, i think it will look a bit chatty.
What about the seats?

I would have loved the seats, but I would lose the ability to have them heated!

The '95 spec interior is a bit different to the later sports style leather so I think it would look odd in my car.....

To someone who hasn't got leather they would be ideal!

My seats are heated at the moment....

I am sorry you are having difficulty with the conversion and mods on your car.

You can change all the switches to a later style spec ie rounded. This will cost you though!

If only you would have brought a later year C36 then you could have even had comand fitted with steering and later instrument cluster - that would have been awesome, you would have also benefited from later spec wiring loom and switches to boot! you would have also got the later style electronic gearbox which would have been 5sp not 4 speed like ALPS C36!

I know the look you're trying to achieve! which is why you are going for the staggered setup on your 18's....

This has started to cost you lots now aint it? Before you do any mods just post on the forum and see what the other memebers think they will give you the best advice that will save you money and time!!!!!

The wiring diagram for the other functions of the seats you have in your car right now I dont have but I know it is possible to do but it will cost u lots... I think the seats are also designed to inflate when you do about 70 but your car has the old style wiring so it's going to be a major headache!!

It can be done, anything can be done just a matter of how much time and money you are prepared to push into your car... and then youll be like me with the money spent you could have got yourself a much better speced car but thats no fun is it?

how is the dash going? and other bits and pieces on your car?

here is a pic of my dash now:

Your right about everything, it was getting more obvious everyday i own the car, the look of the interior is complete appart from them two bits i have mentioned, but they are the two bits that stand out the most, another expensive treat coming up is buying the airbag for the C43 steering wheel i have (i hate the c36 wheel its really tacky and the shiny leather stlye looks like something off an Austin allegro)
Thanks for all your help
Cheers

did you get my PM's?
