Got an e350 convertible both sides front section of the carpets.theres sponge underneath the carpets both seems damp.checked the seals all ok and passed the water test.im stuck on this one as i cant figure out where else it could be coming in from.has anyone else had this problem at all?thanks

Put the bonnet up into the service position and take a look. Depending upon where your battery is there can be drains under there that block, give it all a good clean out and get the car dried as fast as possible so the water doesn't damage any electrikery...
Mercedes and a lot of others decide in their infinite wisdom to locate a lot of important electrics down there that can get seriously damaged by water ingress

On S Class W221, damp front carpets are normally caused by blocked drains on base of windscreen. Not sure if this applies to your car though
