Hi Guys newby here just a 2018 250 GLC 4 matic How do I find out if the car is fitted with CarPlay? It’s my first Mercedes for ages. So I’m lost on the subject.

Look up your car's Datacard using a free online VIN decoder.

If the car has Apple CarPlay / Android Auto, then the Datacard should show the following options:

14U Smartphone integration
16U Smartphone Integration - Apple CarPlay
17U Smartphone Integration - Android Auto

There are MB specialists who can either retrofit the original factory options, or alternatively supply a small external box that will add this functionality, however I only know of firms down south:

As another option, I just had Gene Nostics remotely install and activate Android Auto on my 2016 C207 (it has Car Play already)

Very happy with service, communication the product and the price.

To clarify, this activation is possible only on infotainment systems NTG5*1, NTG5.5, and MBUX, and assuming that the USB port is already installed in the car.

On NTG4.5/4.7 and NTG5*2, an external box is required (e.g. Integrated Automotive).
