I just bought this great W209 CLK 220 and one of the few things wrong, is the compartment lid is completely detached and the bottom compartment is permanently shut. I can get a complete replacement assembly on E-bay but fitting this is another story as there is no manual that describes this procedure. Has anyone attempted this? It looks like the gear selector lever surround will have to come off too.
