While I've not done this,
the double seat base from a scrapper of years 2004 - 2014,
the double bench.
One seat belt I imagine to be a part of the bench, the existing receiver will likely need moving toward the centre.

Do Mercedes actually make a 6 SEATER option model. Your main conversion problem would likely lie with the front restraint /passenger occupancy /airbag systems if such a model exists.

Currently has 5 seats . and can change front passenger to double seat from single so yes

Vito's came as 2 or 3 seats up front.
Of course the insurance 'may' be an issue if converted.

I would expect floor fixings to be easy to locate with the double base as a template, bth I couldn't say if they are definitely going to be there from manufacture. Some that have converted the rear for more seats have found the below floor to be prepared for bolts, some haven't.

Does it have a passenger airbag? I think that would be a problem if you put a double seat in.

As an aside the double seat is quite basic and not very comfortable on a long drive. We only need 5 seats now so would definitely go for single front seats next time.

Update .... Double seat in and bolted ... Just may Bring Airbag light on but will know more tomorrow.. Anyone fitted any tye of bypass or resistor ?

Hi guys.. double seat fitted but airbag light on..
Anyone know what type of emulator I need to connect wiring too ..
Tried Resistors that got advised but did not work.

If you mean the SRS light, then I had this on my Vito.
I removed my double front passenger seat unit, when giving my van a deep clean. I unplugged the seat sensor cable to do so.
That would have been fine, however I switched the ignition on with the seat unplugged. The SRS light lit, and would not go out.
Eventually I took my van to a Mercedes Indy', who plugged it into their computer & switched the circuit off.
Hth.

My brother owns a garage who have Mercedes Specialist stuff . He did quickly try to reset fault but came back on .
Guess i need to put a resistor in and re try ... is there a way of Star machine actually disabling that sensor

Fwiw I believe that's precisely what they did mate.
I fairly extensively researched, (as I like to be able to do all tasks on my vehicles myself) but came to the conclusion that there was no viable option available to me.
In the end I just bit the bullet, and paid someone else to plug their "special computer" into my van.
Annoyingly I don't even think they did what I asked them to, which was re-set the SRS warning light, as now the "fasten seatbelt" warning no longer activates.
I am pretty certain it alerted perfectly accurately before I paid them to rectify the SRS light.!

Anyone help .. which wires are which.. and what needs the 2.7ohm resistor.

Hi guys, I want to swap two to three seats in the front. I have a Mercedes vito 5 seats manual air conditioner year 2015. I know I have to buy a seat base, get the connections done (battery and airbags) but I have a question regarding space..as it's manual the space is very limited, so I was wondering if the seats can actually be adjusted like the single ones sliding them back forth as I have plenty of space between rear and front row? Or they are just bolted in with no chances of adjustment?
Any issue with that?
If the slide is possible I can probably fit them.
thanks everyone
Marco

We have the factory double passenger seat in our Vito and there is very little legroom in the middle - we only ever used it for the kids when they were young. The double seat is fixed, with no adjustment at all (no backrest rake etc. either).

I would personally be cautious about switching from a single to a double seat unless you know the passenger airbag will protect two people properly. I suspect the bag installation is different when the van is built with 3 front seats rather than 2.
