My C200d that I bought in November had gone into limp mode several times on cold starts with no eml, if I turned the engine off and on again it kicked back to normal. Took it to an indy who did a full Star diagnostic and no faults showed so they said bring it back when the fault is present and leave the engine running which I did and the fault code then came up as p007b00 Charge air pressure cylinder bank 1 has a malfunction. They stripped and cleaned the sensor of oily deposits and it was fine for 2 weeks then fault came again so they have put a new sensor in but mechanic noted there was a thin film of oil again on the old one he threw away.
I'm seeing how it goes now.
Is that area of the engine supposed to be clean normally or can deposits build up around the sensor?
