I have recently had this 'Chirp' when I pull away slowly, at first I thought it was coming from the G/box as it would only occur when on the move. So tracked it down to the S/charger pulley & soon realised it was the metal to metal clutch & rear of pulley wheel chirping because its become a bit glazed. I tried rubbing some 600 grade paper down into the 4mm gap but soon tired of this, so plan 2 that seems to have worked is...
Get some 60 grade, 60 grade sheets are more like body armour than paper & too thick to go in doubled over, so you have to do each face separately. Start the engine & force the 60 grade into the gap, its a good idea to slide it in when engine off to seat it , then take it out again, then insert when engine is running. Hold on really tight & maybe wear gloves as sparks do come off the paper, I ran mine for about 2 minutes each side...da da no more chirps ...
next is the G\box shunt @1500rpm .
Edited to add, the chirping has only started awhile after I have had the remap & smaller pulley fitted , so no gain without pain ?
