If only to save other Merc owners the same terrible treatment and frustration I have just experienced at the hands of CKS and Chet, I wanted to share my recent experiance:
If your correct order arrives in good condition on time, then of course all is well. But if there are any issues this company will do nothing to help and deny any culpability.
You are warned.
I bought very expensive parts that when delivered appeared to have either been shipped damaged (unlikly) or damaged in transit. CKS wouldn’t listen to me when trying to explain and the stock line of Chet and all his staff is that it’s not their problem, in spite of photos being sent and the parts being returned. Very distressing and frustrating. After three months of being rebuffed and made to feel that I must be at fault or if not the manufacturer I must either give up or take the legal route. CKS have both the damaged parts and my money with CKS and Chet saying it’s not their problem.
If you are buying a part that you can get from your main dealer, do, you’ll receive proper customer service and come back if something goes wrong.
If in doubt check previous posts on this forum.
Please AVOID this company.

From cks:

Let us firstly start with the truth (not fiction):

1 - This individual lacked the basic skills of fitting a couple of Genuine (OEM) Mercedes emblems he purchased from us.

2 - Shortly after receiving the items (having fitted them himself), Will / David decided that since he fitted them obscurely, he would contact us for some replacements. At first he was suggesting he simply wanted to purchase 2 new emblems(we of course have recordings of all calls), subsequently stating 1 emblem was damaged. We requested he send us some images which we received, and indeed 1 emblem was damaged, clearly as a result of poor installation, and nothing else. However, we are not here to judge. Our purpose is offer a good service.

3 - As the experts, having been in business in excess of 18 years, we have never, ever received a single complaint concerning a Genuine OEM Mercedes emblem. However, there is always a first.

In either case all complaints are handled correctly. This customer required the emblems urgently and purchased another 2, which were sent on a next day service.

4 - We requested the emblems be returned and Will / David asked us to attempt to take the matter up with Mercedes-Benz, as he felt it was a manufacturer fault. This was brought to the attention of Mercedes-Benz who refused the claim not once, but twice siting the customer did not even bother to return the original packaging and stuck it randomly on a piece of cardboard.

The strange thing was Will / David complained (with images as supplied by him) of only one emblem, but returned 2 emblems damaged.

Upon Mercedes refusing the claim, this was emailed to said customer who instantly called back. The call was handled professionally and courteously as always. However, there was nothing further we could do. Will / David always stated we should attempt at resolution with Mercedes, and if we were unable to get his desired result, he would take the matter up himself with Mercedes-Benz.

Of course, once again we have call recordings proving all conversations.

Once Will / David had run out of ideas, his exact words which is key to all of this was "When I received the item damaged, I shouldn't have fitted the damn things!"
As quoted by customer.

Perfectly true, if anyone receives a damaged item, why on earth would you fit it?

Will / David then went on to blame the courier, siting I think it was the couriers' fault and not Mercedes-Benz, or yourselves.

We stand by our service and too are consumers. We certainly are not in the habit of blaming others when it is simply our inability to fit something. Furthermore, if something is received damaged, you make a complaint there and then, you would not fit it.

Another case of a new member complaint on here about a supplier who he feels did not meet expectations?

Two sides to every story!

CKS have had bad reviews in the past but maybe this one wasn't their fault. I just wonder how much cheaper they were selling these emblems?

Spud would have probably been better advised if he had come here first for buying badges. I am sure folks would have pointed him in the direction of MB Newcastle, or the other dealers who have an on line prescence and probably offer a discount.

Steve.

LOL, I didn't feel crass enough to paste the review in total, just supplied the link, well done! ;)

I have used cks on several occasions and had no problems found that they are polite and information correct as said there are two sides ps Ihave know connection to cks only as a customer

I reported this post earlier today & for the life of me cannot understand why it is still here.

A first time poster with an axe to grind joins this forum to badmouth a company after he has hit a brick wall in his quest to get his money back. The company's response surely indicates, at best, that the OP is being economical with the truth & at worst is a disgruntled liar.

Why is mbclub giving this guy a platform?

I think 'freedom of speech' is the overriding principal here, with the expectation that most sensible members here can draw their own conclusion on this fiasco...

I'd be interested to see the pics.
I'm guessing this is probably the AMG wing badges, and I guess if they are stuck on at a tilt, they won't come off easy without cracking.
I had a real struggle taking off the AMG logo from my boot and cracked the G, but if these are stick-on badges with used sticky pads and a crack, it's going to be an open and shut case.

Always good when ive purchased from them on reading both sides it does seem like you maybe made a mistake and are now pointing fingers at them? You joined and made 1 post just to complain? Cant say I am really buying into it mate sorry lol
