I was wondering if this dent is repairable. Not sure if the quarter panel is removable on the C216

Of course, anything is repairable.

The two things that stick out for me as complications are the dent on the edge of the door panel, and the white. Is the white transfer from e.g. a plastic bumper from another vehicle, or is that down through the silver to what lays beneath?

If it needs paint, the job becomes bigger, blending in etc.

If the silver paint isn't breached, it's amazing what a pro can do with dent pulling and experienced flatting/polishing. Which would of course be a lot cheaper (but I'm uncertain about that door edge).

Bodyshop that one because of the area around the door edge and shut line, very strong areas so cant be pulled properly.

transfer is black, silver is all the way to the metal. Worried how its dented ont he edge of the door on the rear panel (leftmost panel in photo)

Going to a body shop for sure but I am worried how bad it will look as the rear quarter is not removable and the edge to the door is dented

If it's down to the metal, it's full body shop and paint. Blending on silver can be a faff, unfortunately.

I was thinking if the paint was intact, you could have considered living with the dent in the door edge to save £big (depending on how much of a pride and joy this is).

This is of course assuming you are trying to pay/arrange directly and keep cost down.

The other option could be of course hand over to the insurance...

Tempted to hand it over to insurance cos it will be an instant right-off and I get my cars worth no faf. No, I cant live with the dent. We are trying to avoid the insurance route and I was by no means at fault lady trying to come from lane 4 to lane 2 on the round-about and hit me.
