I went through a period where I was getting A-Class hire cars with the DCT box. Normally diesels.

I found there was variation in behaviour when moving off from a standstill. And about a third of the cars would be quite harsh / scrabbly when moving off on a poor surface or in the wet unless treated very carefully. I noted that on these it was more likely the were indications that the front tyres had been changed on lower mileage cars. The worst ones would spin their front wheels easily in the wet even when being careful.

I would suggest you check the front tyres - though at the age of car you're looking at then it might not be obvious that this would be down to excessive wear.

If you get a chance to test drive in the wet then that would show up the issue very quickly if you checked how the car moved off at junctions.

That said. On the move I found all the A-Class cars I drove to be fine out on the open road to be fine - and I suspect many owners would never notice the type of automatic transmission that was incorporated into the drivetrain in open road driving.

Thanks buddy . Appreciate it.

I've noticed it's got Goodyear's on the fronts and hankooks on the rear , and at only 14k . Strange. 🥴

Mine has Continentals when I got it new 5 months ago

I would expect something like contis or michelin .
They will ship with different brands. Won't be 1 sole supplier.

I had a look last night and every one i seen had Turanzas on 🤷🏻‍♂️

100 miles on the clock with Turanzas on

When you go see it check the DOT date on the rear tyres. Could easily of shipped with Hankooks as new as Hankook are now rated Premium tyre

See this one 2019 with low miles so most likely on original tyres and they are all Hankook
