Hi everyone,
Yet another towbar wiring kit question...
Does anyone happen to know if the canbus connections on a pf jones wiring kit ( ) can go anywhere in the canbus block behind the dash? There are 2 options to wire the kit, either cut and splice into a brown and red wire in the drivers footwell or plug into the power distributor (A0009820012) behind the dash. I'd rather plug into as much as possible as opposed to cutting.
The picture shown in the diagram shows the plug as the 4th however the canbus block on the vehicle in question has 7 wires already plugged in, is it appropriate to plug into the 8th port? Is each port on the energy distributor linked anyway or do they all run seperate (i.e can the ecu power each one individually).
Or is it saying replace the 4th brown/brown & red wire with the new connection on the fitting kit?
Car is a 2014 CLA 220D AMG Sport
If anyone has done it this way before I'd be very appreciative of any knowledge that you have, or if you've spliced them in also.
Thanks
