CLA front seat removal

Hi everyone I need to remove my front seat to change the seat buckle in my CLA 2014. Should I disconnect the battery first since the seat airbag has to be disconnected?

Can disconnecting the battery cause any electrical damage?

Anything related to airbags requires battery disconnect and wait 45 mins before you touch anything.

Thanks! If I leave the battery disconnected for that long can it cause any issues with the ecu?

I would think not, although you will lose any settings like single touch window close etc.
