Hi, I have a 2002 CLK cabrio 2.3K I have bought it to take part in a banger rally from the UK to Benidorm, to raise money for Barnardo's We are converting it into **** Dasterly's car from Wacky races. We are going to bring the car back to sell, as there's quite a bit of work going into it. The reason for the post is this: The roof does not work, we have tried everything, and we are pretty sure the compressor thingy is blown. This is fine for what we need, I have opened the valve whatsit on the compressor and can raise / lower the roof manually. But its so fiddly opening the rear roof with the allan key doofer, and I am about to build a huge bubble on the back of the car. Is there anyway I can tap into the wiring and have a switch on the dash that will directly power it? if this is possible could someone point me in the right direction please.
