I recently tried to fix bouncing door lock, new spring didn't work. Now car wont lock and window wont go up so its knackered, need a new lock!
Firstly how do I get the whole actuator out? I managed to wiggle it down into the speaker hole to replace the spring but cant get the whole thing out without removing the window guide. I unbolted the window guide at the bottom after removing a rubber grommet, which gave a bit more room but cannot see how to remove it completely to allow the lock/actuator to come out. Lots of websites mention drilling rivets but i cant see any, i think that apllies to W211 models?
Finally how on earth do the door cards go back on? The rubber window seal sits on the door but then wont let the door card back in, or vice versa! It may be easier with the window down so I can knock the seal back on from above....?
