 Hi, i have a CLK55 AMG Auto (W208). I have had 2 incidents in the last few days when accelerating hard - putting my foot to the floor (kickdown) that the car seems to go into Neutral for a few seconds, the dash indicator still says its in D, then it goes back into gear and drives and changes gear normally (no warning lights on) - it wouldnt do it when i floored it again, but did do so a few days later? Any advice would be appreciated as its a little unnerving when it happens.

As a first step I'd get the fluid level checked, and if not already done get the fluid changed. You could also get the gearbox fault codes read to see if anything was logged.

Get the fluid level checked and then see if there is any fault codes in the gearbox as it is quite good at picking them up.

If all that is ok get the box sump pan dropped and check for metal.....

Mell, I recently posted a thread on my particular problem which part of, was the symptoms which you have posted, drives about as per normal on small throttle openings, then when you put your foot down the car revs up but no drive (as neutral). I bought a cheap MAF unit off Ebay for around £38 delivered, to try and it sorted the car. May not be the solution to your particular problem, but for the cost and the option of having a spare MAF to try when these type of problem arise, all for a 10min job to change!!
