Not sure, but AFAIK service plus is only available on cars up to 6 years old, which makes this one borderline anyway.

I suppose at that price though you've really got to want the 208 shape as the newer 209 CLK55 cabriolet isn't far off in price terms.

They're much much rarer.

Even 124 cabriolets are probably worth about £10k more than their coupe counterparts!

I don't think you'd get a decent low mileage coupe for £15k. These 55 convertibles are super rare, this is the first one I've seen. Far prettier than the 209 too, IMO.

looks like the 208 55 Cabriolet did not get the nappa leather that the 208 55 Coupe gets.

if it wasn't silver, I would be very tempted

these were special order only .. they were not on the standard MB price list

That is sooooooo tempting. With such low mileage its a steal I reckon. I'd pay that for it as its so rare. Imagine being able to listen to that V8 with the roof down!

The last one I saw was £20,000 with circa 90k on the clock.

Here here, 208 is far to bulky and box like IMO. 209 looks far more elegant. Might be to do with the fact that i have a CLK55 AMG though!!!

I am generally always a modernist, however I have never the felt that the 209 CLK ever had the presence or granduer that the 208 ever had.

I always look at them and think £35K plus for that. They simply do not look enough of a car IMO. The styling is too soft particularly at the rear.
