Clk63

That looks like a nice car. I've always liked the CLK.

It's a 6.2 AMG, you can't go far wrong for £14K.

The colour intrigues me, I'd like to see a vin plate with the paint code on it as I don't recognise the paint name suggested in the listing.

Its Designo Mystic Blue - 032 on its data card. Upholstery is 805A Beige.

Rather too many miles for my liking, otherwise would have been interested.

I had a feeling it was mystic blue, but sometimes photographs can be misleading.

I don't see the miles as an issue. It's still a lot of car for £14K in a very desirable colour combination. Worst case scenario it needs a bit of mechanical work.

God, I wish I had a use for that. It really does look ACE, and (as many will know) I'm a sucker for dark blue cars. No; NO; my second car needs to be a convertible (just because it DOES, alright?)! I'm being unfaithful to the SL already, though, really.

Resist...Resist... Must RESIIIST...

Nice looking car indeed and obviously attracting a lot of attention. One thing noticed on the MOT history as advisories was undertrays and engine covers obscuring components. Never come across this before - is this normal?

I queried this as my previous S4 and current CLS both have the same advisory. Was told basically its an backside covering exercise documenting that they have noticed they are fitted, so cannot see what lurks above! :dk:

Go on, you know you want it.

Serious case of Abba: I do, I do, I do, I do, I do... The one on PH may arguably be better value, and it's younger, with lower mileage, but it's the wrong colour.

I've slept on it; I still want it; I'll sleep on it again till it's sold. Or till I can rationalise the purchase to myself...

Does that one have the 6.3 engine that could have/have had the head bolt problem?

Ive had that before on a old Honda. Its just jobsworth muppets IMO, its daft. Every car has engine covers and undertrays.

The CLK63 is lovely......... I assume there a 4 seater? The interior looks identical to my C55. Is it basically a CLK55 with the 6.2 in?

According to another forum all M156 engines before s/n 060658 (build date approx June 2010) are in the range for the head bolt problem.

This ones engine no. from its data card is: 156982 60 011165.

Lovely motor
Miles away would not worry me if it has a comprehensive history

Like that!

4 seater and yes CLK55 with the 63 AMG engine in there and the 7G tranny.

Nice.

I wonder if the wheels would fit mine without the need for spacers etc, seeing as the suspension and everything is the same....... Hmmmmm.

CLK 63s don't seem to sell that quickly. This one, Mercedes CLK63 AMG CLK 63 AMG | eBay, with low mileage has been up for sale for over six months now. Price has come down from £43k to £22k in that time but still no takers.
