CLS250CDI Gear selection

Hi,

I have a 2014 CLS250CDI with 7-speed automatic gearbox.
Occasionally (1 time per month) I start the car, select R or D but it will not move from P - no matter how many times I try to select.

I turn off the engine and start again and it selects no issues - 1st time.

My concern is that the day will come when I restart and it won't select and I will be stranded....

Has anybody come across this issue before - do I need to be flagging a repair/replacement to my mechanic?
