cls63 cdi??

Today in Copenhagen I saw a cls taxi with a full quad exhaust system and was badged as a cls63 cdi, I asked the driver and he says that there are a few cl3 63 cdi diesels in the fleet V12 500BHP. I will try to get a pic.

I am sure this is not correct but can anyone confirm if MB do actual make a V12 diesel and not just the 420 cdi.

VW/Audi Manufacture a V8 and possibly a V10 Diesel, but those are the biggest diesels i've ever heard of.

That guy was clearly lying to you because for a diesel to have 500bhp, it has to have tremendous torque (which will make it faster than the actual cls63).

Audi also manufacture the Q7 with a V12.

Merc do not make a V12 diesel at all AFAIK

this is all wait told the guy. It didn't have an AMG pack, but he was convinced. If I see it again I will get a piccy.

I also have not found anything about a V12 500bhp monster.

Wikipedia list the following V12 MB diesel engines OM 404 and the OM 424 they also list an OM403 and 423 as V10's

these may be marine engines but there is no info.

Yep wind up. Check the revo, it will readline before 5k rpm. The AMG readlines about 2.5k higher.

I agree with the AMG 63 CDI but this taxi did look like a genuine E63AMG. Was parked in front of our hotel, I wonder if you can read the licence plate because the photo is crap when I took it at night when walking a bit too fast.

Deffinalty not a 63.

You can tell by the tail pipes.
