Hi all
Bent this little clip on W169 A class.
you can’t bend them back to the original shape either. Secures the fluid pipe into the bell housing release bearing supply . Dealer says. Got to buy new bearing !!!!
Or has anyone a way of securing the pipe. It’s leaking fluid as won’t clip back in. I put a hose clamp round but won’t hold. I considered packing it round with JB weld as it states brake fluid can’t attack it. Absolutely mad idea such a tiny thing can play such a big part. Amazon have for other cars but doubt if same size and they are £20 !
thanks. Forgive the photo showing the other German car maker 😂

Had a similar problem with a radiator hose on my daughter’s Golf. It had slots that the clip fitted into, I was able to wind a bit of copper wire round it and secure it in place under pressure. Worth a try?

Thanks. Do you mean wrap wire around the pipe and try to secure it to a nearby fixing point. Sort of pulling them together to keep the pressure on ?

I’m not familiar with the setup here, can you post a photo?

Here’s the pipe connection You can just see the clip , no clip means pipe won’t stay put and press pedal then leaks fluid.

I take it the open ends of the clip won’t stay tight enough together to hold the pipe in place? Can you fit it the other way, with the open end down, then bind them together with a cable tie or wire?

I wish 😂. No room to do anything.
Looks doable with a bit of patience and ingenuity but can you confirm that the clip does not stay tight in the groove otherwise I’m barking up the wrong tree. Would undoing that bolt allow more space to manoeuvre?
