Hello please can someone help me!
I own a 2013 c350 with Comand.
I have just booked my car to go in next month to have the sat nav updated. (Only £99 at mb dearlers)
Someone told me I could connect my phones internet to the Comand system.
So for days now I been trying to connect it but won’t have it.
It’s connects the phone via Bluetooth but won’t do the internet!
Can anybody help me with connecting my iPhone internet to Comand please ?
It’s starting to give me a headache lol!

It keeps saying phone does not support data sharing but it’s an ipone 7 and have enabled personal Hotspot but still nothing

Your car will have the COMAND NTG4.5, which does not support Internet access via iPhone, instead it only works with Android phone.

There was a newer version of COMAND called NTG4.5 Gen2 (or NTG4.7), which does support Internet access via both iPhone and Android, but it was only released in 2014.

If you want to be sure which version of COMAND you have, go into the Engineering Menu and see if it says NTG4.5 (which does not work with iPhone) or NTG4.7 (which does work with iPhone).

But again this only related to having Internet access on the COMAND unit, i.e. Bluetooth for voice calls and music streaming from iPhone will work fine also on NTG4.5.

And at any rate Internet access on COMAND NTG4.5/4.7 is pretty useless... the only app that is (just) usable is probably Internet Radio.

(The weather forecast is not that useful, and sending a destination to the car's satnav is a long and winding process)

Agreed. I love using technology just because I can, and I can’t be bothered with COMAND Online. It’s only useful feature is retrieving destinations for the satnav which I send from my phone remotely, and then it’s a faff.
