Comand unit wheel broken

Hello guys new to the forum and just picked up mint 09 c180 sport absolutly love the car enjouin every minute of it. But i have noticed that the comand wheel doesnt work when you turn i believe the shaft is broken inside the side to side works fine. Is there anyone in the essex area wiling to help me fix it if i buy the shaft im new to mercedes and dont want to break anything. Beer tokens and numerous bacons sarnies provided thanks chris.

Mercedes Comand Knob Repair Set, 2 good "how to" videos. I bought the shaft from them (the $49 includes P&P) but having watched both videos decided the fiddly bits were too tricky for my sausage fingers, so got a local ICE firm to fit it, cost me £120.

Thanks for replies i have ordered the shaft just waiting for it to turn up mite tackle it myself just nervous about breaking something
