Not really sure on the question, but in this link there is an example of how fog lamps would be wired. Something lower powered (low amps) might not have a relay and could be controlled directly by the switch How To Wire Fog And Driving Lights Harness Wiring Diagram
Most modern cars have multiplexed wiring - basically there's a number of control modules networked together in the car and you tell the module what you want (like switch on the foglamps) and the network goes off and does it. There isn't the same direct wired connection as shown in the link.
