<div class="bbWrapper">Anyone have any recommendations?<br /> <br /> I have a Ring RAC635 and other than the fact its pressure gauge reads high, it works fine for inflating car tyres but it trips the overload on the 12v outlet sockets on my K1600. So I want a cordless one to use with the bike as it's a PITA having to shuffle one of the cars close enough to the bike so I can power the inflator. Something reasonably compact would give me the option of carrying it on the bike for emergency use, but that's not essential. Something that works well, reliably, and without making enough noise to wake the dead is the primary criteria.<br /> <br /> I've read a few reviews online, but thought I'd ask for the collective wisdom of MBClub. <div class="bbWrapper">I would be interetsed as well... I haven't bought a cordless tyre inflater so far because I wasn't sure if it has enough juice to fully inflate a flat car tyre from zero.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I know it's not compact but having borrowed a jump starter after daughter's car had a flat battery and been impressed by how much less faff it was than using jump leads, I bought one of these <a href="https://www.costco.co.uk/Tyres-Automotive/Automotive/Chargers-Jump-Starters/CAT-1000-Peak-Amp-Professional-Jump-Starter-and-Compressor/p/9141571" target="_blank" class="link link--external" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">CAT 1000 Peak Amp Professional Jump Starter and Compressor | Costco UK</a> (other places sell it too) selected purely because of its compressor. Used it a few times for topping up tyres and it's been fine - I've no idea if it would cope with inflating a flat tyre though.</div>
 
<div class="bbWrapper">If you have decent power tool (dewalt, Milwaukee etc) system. Get the tire inflators that are part of the system. You get an extra battery for your other tools.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I use Ring RAC900. Having previously used Ring RAC635 (or something similar) I cannot recommed RAC900 highly enough. Inflates tyre from flat in couple of minutes, quiet, easy to get in and out of bag. Tyre pressure gauge on this compressor is quite bad; very inaccurate. I use this gauge instead: <a href="https://www.demon-tweeks.com/eu/intercomp-ultra-deluxe-tyre-pressure-gauge-243864/" target="_blank" class="link link--external" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">Intercomp Ultra Deluxe Tyre Pressure Gauge</a> - highly accurate. I usually over inflate to whatever silly value RAC900 shows and then deflate using Intercomp to precise value.</div>

Compact cordless units have limited power available so there's always a compromise between volume and pressure ... some are biased towards volume and have a very limited maximum pressure (e.g. 40 psi on some Michelin ones).<br /> <br /> I have an old 'air monster' unit with an internal 12V SLA battery - over 10 years old now and still going strong! I don't personally trust the gauge on any pump - I use them to over-inflate slightly, then set the final pressure with a separate dial gauge.</div>

I overinflate at the garage and then correct the next day when the tyres are cold. <div class="bbWrapper">I have the Hawk cordless tyre inflator mentioned above. It’s a little slow but automatically shuts off when you get to the desired pressure. I like it since I can go round all the cars checking their tyre pressure without taking them all to the garage. Works well.</div>
