Some real offence taken by the AMG crew...

MB supply non-AMG cars with AMG styling body kits, wheels etc. My non AMG came with AMG stamped wheels from factory, no need to take offence, no one is trying to impressionate or suggest that this is an AMG 55/63, the kit and the wheels just look good.

Secondly, if you own the car, you can do whatever you like to it, even stick a Ferrari badge on to it if that suits your taste.

I agree, you can do what you like to your own car. I like to see cars which are cherished, and I'd wager that few love their car even more than Ben does

Although I don't agree AMG drivers have taken offence. I can't begin to imagine the kind of person who would take offence.
