Coupe....:(

Apparently theres 'nothing to sirius'

I though Sirius was a huge star thousands of light years away , i'd say its got some substance personally .....;)

But i digress, its a proper sh*tbox ....... not worth wasting time on , a new rear screen is gonna cost more than the car is worth .....

Be interesting to see if it sells, then we can mail the buyer and laugh !!

If I was selling that car, I'd get a cheap bodyshop to repair the damage and then thoroughly wash and valet the car.

You could double the offers on it easily.

*formulates a plan ;) *

How do people ever expect to sell something like this in the condition that it is in. I'm sorry, but it really amazes me. Hate to think what the 'reserve' is ???

Well he does say it's a restoration job, he doesn't have enough time to do it and he's photographed the bits that need work doing so I can't see what your point is. I'd rather see an ad like this that some flash Harry selling a "minter" that's really falling to bits.

Yes , an easy restoration project ....

Looks like it needs a new front seat, i doubt you'd be able to get all that ground in crap out

A new rear screen + trims .... this is expensive , which is why so many coupes have delaminated screens, because they are second mortgage jobs....

Paintwork .... respray on rear quarter ... possibly more ...

Grille is broken ..... etc etc

Does the central locking work, how about the sunroof (another second mortgage job) , what about the air con ?

Just not worth the hassle, which is probably i suspect why he is selling it ... he's bought it to do up, priced up the bits and thought 'bugger that ' and is trying to pass it off as as 'easy restoration project ' to get the mugs bidding ..

The car just doesn't look like its had any 'love' so god knows what else would need doing to it ...

If you were in the trade, or had pals that were, then maybe, but to the average man in the street, you'd be buying into a nightmare ....

Please see my earlier comment ;)

It's a bit like someone selling a car with a detail like "aircon not working, probably just needs re-gassing". You can assume that this means there is a leak and therefore an easy £500 worth of repair to do, at least. If it was just a re-gas (£70?), why not do it before selling so it's one less thing for a potential buyer to haggle over?

Or £50 to your insurance company if the window is actually broken...

Tut - tut ......

My 'Point' is.........No, hang on, lets just wait and see when, or if he sells it. I think that just might, only might mind you, make my 'Point' obvious........well, to most people anyway. ;)

Don't really see a problem with it. The rear panel is easily fixed but maybe £200~£300. The aircon isn't a problem because it doesn't have aircon!
The interior would look completely different after a good scrub.
The only thing that would worry me is the reason for it being stood for so long. Perhaps something big went wrong with it?
Oh, and the price, a little optimistic I think

Whats climate control ? does it not work like air con ?

Nope, they ALL have climate control. Those wheels that you set the temperature with. Not all also have aircon.
No buttons between the control knobs = no aircon.

so mine has climate control ? i just have two rotary wheels (red to blue) and the direction settings and the fan speed

Correct me if I'm wrong; but I always thought Climate Control was an Air Con unit with an 'Auto' switch?

Technically, yes.
It's not just a heater control because there's a cabin temperature sensor by the rear view mirror that compares the cabin temperature to the temperature you've set and adjusts the heating accordingly.
You're just screwed if you set it at less than the outside temperature without the aicon bits.

That would be the auto climate control option:D

So, you can't really call it 'Climate Control' without the 'Air-Con' bit because you really can't control the climate, can you? :D

This is true....LOL...:)
