So, my SL was in for its annual service yesterday with Mercedes Maidstone. Half way through the day I got a call to tell me the service was done but would I like them to replace the cracked additional brake light in the boot lid. Cracked? I just washed the car on Sunday and didn't notice a crack. Anyway, in the end, after he'd applied his generous 20% discount and got the price under 200 quid (laugh, I nearly cried) I agreed. He offered to leave the original damaged one in the boot which I was interested to see.
5pm and the car is delivered back to me... No original brake light in the boot.. and when I looked (with the delivery driver) at the new one... it had a crack in it!!!!! So the driver takes a few photos. Later I get a call to let me know they only have one other in stock and that is also cracked. Oh, and my original was apparently on the service persons desk.
Not a major issue... I just thought... what are the chances
