Proper Service!!!!

I rang up our local Nissan Dealer, Beadles in Gillingham, at 9.00am Monday morning having crashed my wife's Micra on Sunday. They said bring it in and we'll give you a lift home. I took it in and they offered me a coffee and a seat while they did the paperwork and got me a lift home in a car with excellent Sat Nav. At 5 O'clock we went to pick it up expecting the worst.

The car was waiting in the car park, valeted inside and out. It had had a new lower wish bone, a new steel wheel, a new tyre, steering wheel aligned and the tracking done and was perfect. Cost £214 and the car back on the road within one day.

Now that is what I call service. I can just see MB turning round a car that quickly!

PS. Pammy 1 litre of L'occitane products (!) and a box of Thorntons was the price;)

Now that was a good result - not as bad on the pocket as I would have guessed!
You can forget about it now and start thinking about Mercs again! :D

Will :)

You got off lightly then :p :D - nice one chuck ;) Glad the cars sorted and so quick - that is good service :bannana: Bet you won't be allowed near it now. :D

R2D2 - Now thats what customer service is, Mercedes Benz have to learn from this and they will win alot of customers. That aside its good to know all went well, and as pammy says i dont think u r getting any way near that car again.Good luck

will do it seriously cheap and seriously quick

I don't think these words exist in the vocabulary of a Mercedes dealership :D

I agree with you all. I cant believe you can crash a car on the Sunday and have it repaired and cleaned by the Monday tea time? I'm grateful no one else was involved and that I didnt get hurt and the car fix so easily!! Result and a big thumbs up for nissan, both in the wy the car coped with the accident and their dealership's service as well. :bannana:

They have too many customers as it is, that's why it takes 3 weeks to get your car looked at, too busy. What's the solution, more stealerships?

One of the problems for Mercedes is that they still have virtually the same infrastructure and capacity as they did 20 years ago.

Twenty years ago the cars were "prestige" motors and sold in relatively small numbers - even the "entry level" cars were the price of a house and they were a relatively rare sight on our roads.

Nowadays the cheapest MB costs Ford Modeo money and they are commonplace.

If you sell more cars you need to employ more staff to look after them unless of course your company is being run by accountants who see everything as a chance to save a few pennies here and there.

Mercedes won their customers on the deserved reputation of the cars they made in the seventies, eighties and early nineties. When they dropped the prices the new customers arrived in their thousands. I wonder if Mercedes will still have that same "prestige" tag in another 10 years time or whether they will be seen as just another car maker.

Andy
