Hi all.
I am currently about to under take a job to fit a Asus android head unit into my CLK230. Is there anything I should be aware of with any issues that will need overcoming on the fitting and cabling?
I've fitted several to other vehicles with great success, but my Matilda (CLK230) seems to be that more complicated as it seems to be linked to the display in the information computer screen in the clocks.
If I disconnect the Audio 10 that is already fitted, will I lose the display altogether or just radio information only? And also, if I swap out that audio 10, will I also lose the use of the cars factory fitted amp and bass speakers?
I'm pretty certain this is not a job the is going to be straight forward as a basic swap out .
Really would appreciate some tips, or info on this. I'm wanting to have my phone connected, external music library connected and also the satnav without buying this cheap things the use the radio frequencies. I have one and the sound is terrible.
I'd like to up grade the speakers later on when I've saved enough to do that task.
Thanks in advance .
