Hi, I was looking to update radio on my current Command (my2011) to DAB, does this unit simply plug n play at the rear somewhere or is that just wishful thinking and mot that easy.

Any advice

I've got a £25 Bush pocket DAB radio plugged into my car connected to the aux and tucked away in the glovebox, picks everything up and great connection all round

Thanks for the replies

I have just bought one of these, Buy LOGIK LRBDAB14 Portable DAB Radio - Black | Free Delivery | Currys.

Currys/PC World Logik DAB battery powered radio. £16.99. It fits nicely into the centre armrest cubby hole and plugs straight onto the AUX socket located inside.

I've only tried it locally at the moment but it seems to be OK even with the aerial in the stowed position.

It could turn out to be the best £16.99 I've spent if it allows me to listen to Planet Rock and keeps capital out of my lugs.

I'll let you know how it fairs.

The station name just shows up like any other on the command display

Looks good, that's exactly what I was looking for, thanks

I take it you have to control it with there remote?

And it works by the fm receiver just tuning into the device?

If you had had DAB fitted at factory, then it is controlled from the head unit (i.e fully integrated).

There are two fully integrated retrofit options

a) Full factory retrofit. Uses antennas in rear windscreen and is all hidden away
b) in2digi aftermarket integrated unit, uses a screen mount antenna that is pretty discrete: https://www.commandonline.co.uk/in2digi-DAB-digital-radio-D1.html

These sit on the car's fibre optic audio bus, so remains all digital (instead of re-transmitting onto analogue FM) so much better audio quality.

Talk to alfie ([email protected]) for more info
