Any recommendations for an unobtrusive Dashcam that would fit neatly in an R231 SL500?

It's so unobtrusive I can't tell what camera it is.

I’ve been looking at upgrading to either the blackvue 750s or the 900s

not particularly cheap though.

Blackvue maintan an excellent overall stance in the Dash Cam world, but I find they are far too big to be unobtrusive especially in the front, I have vision of the Cam being forcibly removed in order to feed someone's alcohol or drug habit! :(

Sad but true.

I have a basic nextbase, I didn't want gps or anything saying how fast I'd been travelling at any time. Something to think about if you ever exceed the speed limit.

Nextbase appear to have decent reviews.
Comand online were selling one model for £99 supply and fit a few weeks ago.

I have a blackvue in mine, completely disappears behind the mirror, wired down the A pillar into the 12v socket in the passengers footwell. I had a nexbase which died after the warranty expired, this one is 2 years old and perfect DR650GW

Nextbase are good Dash Cams apart from the fact that the Internal Battery doesn't last very long, the one I had went flat at around 9 Months, to replace the Battery you need to send the Cam to somewhere in Wales at your expence with the promise of the cost being reimbursed if a genuine fault is found! I sourced a replacement from China for a few quid in the end!

I bought three BV 590's in the Summer for three different cars.

Cameras get removed where necessary (easy to remove and refit).

I find them more discreet than some cameras as not huge display on them.

I've found cause to access mine numerous times for various reasons and the quality is very good.

Very happy with them - no problems with them as yet (except an update of iOS screwed access to them but BV eventually fixed them).

Battery dashcams don't last, the batteries balloon and fail when subjected to the sun, better to get a dashcam that uses a capacitor for power.

I have Blackview 2 Ch (front & rear) in both the ML and CLS, think one version is fairly new (950S) and the other a slightly older 750. They are excellent bits of kit and never caused me any issues.

Capacitor looks interesting as the battery failed in my Snooper fitted to the Jag and I had to bin it (dashcam not car before someone spots that;-)).

There’s a £32 one on Amazon just now that I’ve bought. Very good too.
Neat and unobtrusive with good features + front and rear cameras.
Think they’re called Caochen or something

Viofo ate fitted with super capacitors. Some of the guys on "SLK World" rate them quite highly.

I have the BlackVue 900S fits neatly behind rear view mirror, and only needs a push of a button and slides out if you need to remove it.
