I’m looking for a list of models that use Renault engines. I was recently advised on another post that the 1.5 C200 MHEV uses a Renault engine, however all I can find on the internet is:

Mercedes integrates Renault engines primarily in its entry-level models. These include the A-Class, B-Class, CLA, and GLA. The engines used in these models are typically up to the 200 designation, including popular Renault engine blocks such as the 1.5 DCi, 1.6 DCi, 2.0 DCi, 2.3 DCi, and 1.3 TCe.7 Sept 2024

Thanks in advance!

It depends on the model and year we're talking about as this can vary. For example, in 2021 they ditched the 1.5 Renault Diesel engine in the the W177 180d A Class and replaced it with a transverse version of the OM654 engine, known as OM654q, I believe this is the same for the 200d and 220d versions. I believe the Petrol variants still have the Renault engines.

Just read your post again, if you are specifically referring to the W206 C Class, I believe the 1.5 in the C200 is a variant of the M264 engine which is a Mercedes Engine.

So any 1.5 prior to 2021 (W206) is Renault?

I’m looking for a 2018-2020 maximum - 1.5 MHEV. Prime they’re Renault?.

No I was referring to the A Class with that example, apologies I initally thought you were asking a general question about the usage of Renault engines rather than a specific model until I read your post again. The C Class, prior to 2021 was the previous shape/generation known as the W205, the C200 in the W205 I believe has the 2 litre M274 engine. I assume you're looking at petrol over diesel?

M264 in both 1.5 and 2.0 flavours started production in 2017 (according to Wiki) and is based on the M274; therefore a MB rather than Renault unit.

Is it not, just the smaller transverse engines are Renault?
