I've read of this in these hallowed pages but I've been fortunate never to encounter it, so I don't know what to look for.

Can anyone describe the symptoms or point me in the direction of a picture?

TIA, David

normally if this has happened you will find the glass looking a bit "milky" near the edges

It could be even worse. Imagine the seals on an S-class double-glazing failing and the cavity misting up like you see on old/cheap double glazing??

At least when a laminated screen delaminates, its only milky around the edges.

"like you see on old/cheap double glazing"

There are those (more expert than I am) who would leave out "old/cheap" and say that moisture ingress in all double glazing "sealed" units is a fact of life and that secondary glazing systems are better.

Double Glazing

Except for the fact that they look awful - even the modern ones - been there looked at that. The best solution is double glazed - but as with everything you gets what you pays for - and if you buy cheap rubbish...you will get cheap rubbish.
