I have a W212 2011 250 e class and want to delete ( de-register ) the Convenience phone settings as it is a phone of the previous owner, when I enter the convenience phone the option to "De Authorise " is not available. I have uploaded my phone to Bluetooth but, every time the phone system tries to pick up the Convenience phone and not the Bluetooth phone, as a result the system advises no phones available. I then have to manually select my phone via Bluetooth phones option, which is a real pain everytime I get in my car. Is there anyway I can delete the Convenience phone or make the system make my Bluetooth phone the preferred phone to search for at switch on

The convenience phone is the plug in phone connection in the arm-rest. So you can't delete it easily. But if you remove any cradle that is in the armrest, it should ignore it. If you look at what is plugged in in the armrest, on the face, at top left, is a small button. Press it in and slide the cradle backwards (or downwards if up-right)

There is no plug in phone connection bracket connected. Also I do not have a bracket, there there anyway I can disconnect convenience phone setting

maybe inside the engineering menu? (don't recall exactly the keypress but for sure google does)

You could try de-authorising all bluetooth devices in the convenience menu (which will disconnect the Comfort Phone connector, which is a bluetooth device itself). And then re-pairing your phone. Cant remember where it is in the engineering menu - and you have to be careful ... Hold down Phone-Hangup, * and 6 key all together for about 10 seconds to enter engineering mode.

I would like to thank Cezar and Richard for getting on the right track. After a great deal of messing around and trial and error in the Engineering mode I managed to solve the problem. If anybody has this problem the only way to do this is as follows :-
1. Enter Engineering Mode
2. Scoll to Section 6 Then Section 3 Then Section 1 " Bluetooth Information "
3. In " BTPC Address " you will find the number of the previous phone listed in " Convenience Phone ". Cancel previous code and enter any series of 12 letters and numbers. DO NOT AUTHORIZE THIS NUMBER
4. The phone that you have then register as a Bluetooth Device. The system will then recognize your Bluetooth phone every time you switch the ignition On.

This took some time to sort out but, it works perfectly and I hope this information is of use to someone else.
