Diesel control unit.

Hi. My first post.Had a recall on my 2012 E350 coupe for passenger air bag.They now tell me i need to have the diesel control unit changed aswell as a recall.What is this and what does it do.

Would you not be better asking the Dealership who made this diagnosis?

Are you sure its not just the emissions software "upgrade"....if so the answer is "no thank you"!....and it should be free. A 2012 might be a bit early for that.......
