Hi, has anyone tried the new Shell diesel + Nitro, any difference to mpg, performance etc, is it what Shell claim

I struggle to measure a performance difference between premium fuels as other traffic, temperature, weather etc plus Mrs NNMates leaden right foot appear to make a bigger difference in £/mile.
However, I do notice that Shell V-Power Nitro+ Diesel results in quieter idling compared to other brands, especially from cold. Hopefully this will result in a longer engine service life.

My cdi smokes alot less on shell nitro, seems to run smoother too.

I have been using it in my CLS 350, not sure if there is a performance improvement, but my MPG has improved, went to Norfolk for the weekend and filled up when we got home and found it had done 53 to the gallon, and to be honest I wasn't hanging about on the way home, That's better than the Mrs Toyota IQ,

The V power nitro seems to work very well with the OM642 engine. I find it gives around 3mpg more than the regular shell diesel. And makes the car feel a bit quicker as well. Sadly i don't buy it any more because my local shell has been turned into a Gulf. However the Gulf Endurance diesel seems good as well. Especially when you benefit from a company diesel card

I've tried both V-power and BP ultimate on my 320 CDI and noticed the ultimate is smoother with less smoke

I always see higher MPG when I visit Norwich on business, I put it down to the flat landscape and lack of motorways.

I have been using Shell V-Power in the Kia since I bought it two years ago, I can't really compare it to anything because I have never used anything else in the Kia.... I guess the only thing I can say is that it did not break anything :D Sorry, I did warn it was not going to be helpful.
