hi all, i got my engine oil dipstick with part number 2710100372 but an aftermarket replica.
when i push it down the tube to its max travel, it tells me i do not have any oil in my engine. It was not an easy travel through the tube either.
Did i get the right one? its about 510 overall length and said it was for a w203 1.8. Mine is an early car? and maybe it should be different?
someone might know?
Is it right and need more oil, it had 5.5 ltr oil change recently.
Thanks for any advice again.
ive done the new filter and trans fluid change today , yet to check level when hot. Maybe tomorrow now.

I bought the W203 C200 Kompressor SE Coupe, with the M271 engine.
I fell for the same mistake and bought the after-market dip-stick with the number 2710100372.
The maker's name is Febi Bilstein.
It is clearly the wrong dip-stick for this engine.
When the oil is at the correct level, the oil just touches the bottom of the stick.
No use at all !

When I change the oil and filter, I put in slightly more than 5.5 litres .....
When I refill with 6.0 litres, the oil reading on the dash reading says correct.
That's what I do.
I always use the MB 229.5 oil
