Chaps,
MY ML270CDI went into the main dealer to have a rear bumper respayed as some women bumped into
the back of me.
I went to collect my ML last week as they called and said its ready, so I went to collect it and I found the paintwork on the bumper with
1) lots of orange peel.
2) Scratches on the tailgate.
3) scratches on either side of the wings near the bumper
4) THey washed and it rained, so they wanted to give the car back dirty.
Extented the hire car with the insurance company. (they were not happy)
Went to collect second time.
Same thing but worse.
1) They flattened the paint down so much they it looks worse.
2) Scratches did not polish out
3) They admitted that there is not enough paint on the bumper for them
to flatten the paint.
4) They car was washed and wiped with a leather and left loads of water marks on the body work
Then the hire car company said we are taking our car back and not outr problem because I chose to have the work done by mb and not one of their approved garages.
Then Mb said, wait one hour and well fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They polished the rear bumper, now looks better but the orange peel is their because they cant flatten it.
They said take your ML and well re-book.
Total nightmare.
