Disarming front passenger airbag

Sorry I maybe posting this twice, I have a 2018 E Class, the booklet says it automatically disables the front passenger air bag if it detects a child seated. Yesterday I put my 8yearold grandson in a booster seat. I didn’t see any warning that the airbag was switched off but after a while a warning appeared where the speed is shown to say it was enable. Is there a physical switch I can use to disable the front passenger airbag and if there is where is it?

Hi, you will need a Mercedes child seat with AKSE transponder to disable the passenger airbal.
Tjere may be units on ebay that you can inset into the child seat to disable the airbag but I couldn’t comment on them

As above, a Mercedes child seat with air bag transponder is the only solution.
In the meantime, do your Grandson a favour and seat him in the back. Children are precious.
