Hi, I'm new to the forum, so help me if I'm doing something wrong.

I'm planning to buy a C63(can be new or used) soon and am wondering what sort of discounts you had when you were buying your new/used MBs (especially recent AMG models).

Many thanks in advance!

If you don't ask you don't get...!!! :thumb:

No harm in having a go...........

There's a couple of threads about discounting C63s, have a wee search.

C63....I've recently had experience trying to get a discount on a new C63 and I've got to admit that I've never found it so hard to get some money off a new car!

None of my local dealers would entertain any discount (and would rather not sell than give any money off ) but I did manage just over 5% at one of MB's Direct dealers in Birmingham.

From my experience and reading about others, that's probably about as much as is available on a brand new one but the real deals are on the ex-demo's if you're prepared not to spec the car exactly as you want...you'll easily get 12-15% off an ex-demo without working too hard.

Have you tried the likes of "Drive the deal" and Broadspeed?

Surely someone in the UK wants your business?

As already stated, aboput a couple of grand is about your lot.

probably might help if you can find a dealer who doesn't sell many AMG's but shoves out quite a bit of the others and might be up for a spot of haggling on it, rather than risk having one sat on the dealership. That however could work against you too.

I ordered mine in July with Nov delivery date, got couple of grand off the list price. They were still making money on it....or they would not have sold it.

I won't tell you the final price though....you won't get anywhere in a UK dealer to touch it.

It's all down to supply, when I worked at MB Newcastle we only had a small allocation of AMG products despite being an AMG centre!

Which means on products like E63 and S63 there were potentially quite substancial discounts to be had when there was a lot of stock/allocation about.

C63 small discounts when popular or no stock/allocation, however find a dealer who has had it for 90 days (unlikely) and I'd almost guarantee 8% discount (pre vat).

Yeah, that sounds very reasonable, my friend had a custom specced 3.2 A5 Coupe with 15% off (post vat), well I guess that's mainly because that's an unpopular engine. Anyway C63 is a different story..

Broadspeed is showing 4.5k off the OTR price of a naked C63, then all options are just normally priced.. so for a 60k car, we are roughly talking about 7.5% of discount. It looks like this is gonna be one of the good options..

'Drive the deal' only shows 2k off. I don't understand why there is such a difference though..

The thing with broadspeed is they pass you to a dealer and there is no gaurentee you can get that price. they may well have used a discount for a car sold quite sometime ago.. Still, worth a look whatever.

The way I look at it is, anything off list price is better than nothing.

I calculated 5% off the car base price, and 10% off each extra I added and thought, they probably won't go beneath that price, so I felt that anyway between that and the list price would work. I paid £500 more than the price I had worked out. That was their comeback price after I said what I wanted to pay. I took it. everyone happy.

car is going for a wash and vac in about an hr too.

My brother bought a new car through Broadspeed. It was handled by Inchcape in Oxford. (The guys behind www.mercedes-benz-parts.co.uk)

They were superb and he got every bit of the 18% discount on the car to his specification. Nothing was too hard for them.

7.5% on a brand new C63 sounds pretty good.

The problem with buying a £50-55K 6.3 litre V8 car with today's petrol prices is that even considering purchase it gives out the message to salesmen "I have lots of money/ a good income/access to finance" This tells them you can afford to pay list even if you don't want to!
Since they are sort of "built to order" anyway unless a dealer has one sitting in his showroom as a cancelled order or something discounting is always going to be a problem. :(
Exclusivity costs!

A friend bought a w212 E63 a few months back, not a penny off!

I've had two experiences with Broadspeed.

One was very good - got a Grande Punto for my girlfriend a couple of years ago with about 95% off (OK, not quite...but it was a silly price compared to list). Faultless service and easy transaction.

The second one was when I was trying to get a deal on my latest C63 order (although they weren't advertising 7.5% off a few weeks ago). They also put me in touch with the Inchcape group but in my case they wouldn't honour the price on the AMG.

Indeed, my next door neighbour works for Inchcape Mercedes and said they don't always honour the Broadspeed price if they don't need the volume so I guess I was out of luck on that day.

I guess I could have taken it up with Broadspeed but after that, and with my neighbour also unable to offer me any decent discount, I decided to go back to the dealer I got my first C63 from.

Thank you guys for the info, I will try out broadspeed first, then autobytel. Don’t really have a budget limit, but it’d be good to get as much off as possible, the used C63s seem are holding their values pretty well, still worh around 45K for an 08 reg. so why not put 15k more for a brandnew that's 2 years younger and with PP+ (I know I won’t really feel the difference, but it’s nice to know the engine is just about the same version as the sls). btw, is the lsd included in pp+ or it's separate?
