as above really , used it on my golf gti and it didnt seem all that , just wanted some other views ?

What were you using it for on your GTI? If the paint was already shiny then you would notice nothing. T-Cut removes paint. So use it very sparingly and only if you have a light scratch or dull paintwork. Then a good quality wax and polish. Do not use it regularly, because this will eventually remove all your paint and a respray will be necessary.

Yes I have. It was BMW. The owner used T-Cut weekly...couldn't understand why the paint looked so blotchy.

In my experience T Cut works very well but as with all such products it requires some elbow grease and also working in fairly tight circles. It's not magic and it won't work well if you think you can apply it and buff it off as you would a polish. It requires patience and persistence. As others have said, don't over use it though. I've seen plenty of vehicles that have been over polished in their time. If these really are minor scratches then you'll probably get a better result with a colour match type polish than trying to remove them completely. This is especially true if it's a dark coloured car.

If you want a great cutting agent - then Brasso......but you have been warned..

I T-Cut my old E34 535i Sport fully then polished it, came out a treat especially as the colour of the car was Alpine White - came out like new..!!!

Works a treat on minor scratches, has even worked on some marks where you think that's def messed up big time and needs a respray.

There are much better products on the market today in my opinion. Autoglym Paint Removator or DoDo Juice Lime Prime for example.
If you are trying to remove scratches, always work at 90 degrees to the scratch and when you are happy with the result, finish off by polishing and waxing.

VW paint is rock hard (unless its a from 2009 onwards, when its absolute pants !), so you'll have little effect with T-cut.

Removing scratches needs something a lot more aggressive initially, and a lot of skill n patience. You're only option is something like a rotary polisher with the correct foam pads and compounds such as Menzerna or 3M (Intensive polish followed by fine finish).
