Nick, thats absolutely rubbish.

Get them back pronto, or get your money back and go elsewhere.

Second pic is the inside of the wheel, which clearly hasn't been touched.

Nick, if you don't mind me asking, did you pay to have the ENTIRE wheel refurbished, or just the outside? When Wicked Wheels did the alloys on my E240, I paid £55 per wheel, but this was for the front surface treatment only. I fully understood this before the guy even started.

Sorry to see the pics mate. What a crap start to the weekend. Hope you get it sorted out.

Greg

money refunded in full on a phonecall so can't complain from that perspective.

I specifically asked for the ENTIRE wheel to be done. It clearly wasn't.
I doubt if they even took the wheels off the car.

Will have them done properly at some point in the next few weeks.

What a downer after all your excitement.

Absolutely rubbish finish or touch up more like...

Check ur car to make sure that there is no off spray on the bodywork if you suspect that wheels were not even removed.

Blimey Nick, I thought mine had been done poor, but how can anyone with even a modicum of pride in their workmanship be happy with producing that?

Hope you get them sorted ... when I get mine done next, they'll be boxed up and sent to Pristine; not going to mess with backstreet shops again.

didn't check for overspray!! Car was wet and dirty and light was poor.

I could have done better than that with a bit of wet and dry and a can of Laquer from Halfords (In fact I did!!! :D )

Got to say I feel for you, but good result getting the cash back so quick.

Probably been mentioned before, but I got a really good result with this firm

Not sure where in London you are but they do do a collect and drop back service.

Thanks BenzC. I will probably go to them to have the job done properly. They are moving premises in a few weeks and say they will be able to accept cars with the wheels on, rather than having to remove them and send them in.
Need to work out the best way to get rid of all the peeling lacquer now........mind you it'll probably all just fall off within a week.
Bummer, but not a total disaster as it hasn't cost me a penny.
Hats of to George Fraser for doing the right thing straight away. I feel a bit bad for them because I think they got done by their refurber, but they have kept me as a happy customer and I will be returning there in the future with, if anything, more trust than before thanks to their actions.

Something similar happened to my Dad's porsche 944 wheels. Black with polished lip, were 20 years old and corroded. The Bosch service place sent them to be refurbished and they came back looking good. The guy that services the Porsche sent them back to be re-done because he wasn't happy with them, even though my Dad seemed pretty pleased. They came back amazing, although black/silver now rather than black/polished.

Porsche centrecaps were £hundreds! :(

There is a dealer called Hughes of Beaconsfiled in Buckinhamshire who have full on site bodyshop facilities and they are supposed to do a cracking job on refurbs from what I have recently heard. However, they keep ur alloys for 10 days though but do a great finish.
