Cleaned, polished and waxed them and I also applied the grease a little more carefully than has been done in the past!

washing up liquid and a toothbrush and some degreaser but I found the washing up liquid diluted was working the best

But it has to be rinsed well and polished straightway and then waxed

Washing up liquid strips all polish and wax off paint so you have to re apply it quick

I did all four

I guess Its not a bad job when the sun is out and the radio on

keep a big jug of warm water handy and keep rinsing and scrubbing

Cheers, any specific grease you used to re grease all the hinges and workings ?

I used castrol grease as that was all I had.
I dont think it really matters as long as its done often and a decent quality grease is used

I guess im sad with mine as all of mine are cleaned every time I wash the car - as well as around the boot, and bonnet!

Looks like you have some rust at the bottom of that front door mate!

I will clean them often now but that was the way it was when I got the car


luckily its not rust its degreaser dripped down and it looks very much like rust in that photo

Not that there isnt any rust on my car but hey it is a w210 !
